HPLC - measuring purity
High-performance liquid chromatography separates the components of a sample so the target peptide can be quantified against impurities. It is the standard method for stating a purity percentage - and we publish the chromatogram, not just the number.
Mass spectrometry - confirming identity
Purity tells you how much of the sample is one compound; identity tells you it is the right compound. Electrospray-ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) confirms the measured molecular mass matches the theoretical mass of the intended peptide.
Endotoxin and sterility
Endotoxin (LAL) and sterility assays close the loop on lot quality. Together with HPLC and MS, they form the four-part panel documented on every Certificate of Analysis.
