Storing lyophilized peptides
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are most stable cold, dark, and sealed. As a general rule, store them at −20 °C in their original sealed vial, protected from light and moisture, until use.
Reconstitution
Most research peptides are reconstituted with bacteriostatic or sterile water. Add the diluent slowly down the side of the vial and swirl gently - do not shake vigorously, which can stress the peptide.
After reconstitution
Once in solution, peptides are generally less stable than in lyophilized form. Refrigerate reconstituted material, protect it from light, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and use it within the documented stability window for that compound.
